24th Annual Cliff Walk

The 24th Annual Cliff Walk for A.L.S. will be held virtually this year. We will still walk 7 miles while we raise much-needed funds to help patients and families living with ALS in New England.
Walk any time during the week of September 6-13, 2020.
Sign up here. Fundraise on your own, join an existing team, or pick a team captain and create your own team page and tell your story. Then invite your team members to join you and to fundraise to add to your team total. Of course, you can register and fundraise on your own, too!
As always, there will be prizes for the top fundraisers!
Our goal this year is to raise $150,000 for our Patient Programs which provide financial support to our ALS patients and families.

How to Sign Up for the Walk
To join the walk, visit charity.gofundme.com/cliff-walk.
- Create an account or log in to your existing account.
- Click the Join button.
- Decide whether to join a team or create your own.
Choose Join a Team to become part of a team that already has a page. Choose Create Your Own Team if you are a team leader creating your team page OR if you want to fundraise on your own. or whether to create your own team.
- Follow the prompts. Anything you do not change will use the default set for the Team Page template.
What about offline donations?
Offline donation donors and amounts can be entered into the fundraising page by clicking the icon for your account in the upper right corner of the page, choosing Campaigns, selecting your team, scrolling slightly down the page, and selecting the Offline Donations tab.
You can also track the offline donations manually. If you would like a sponsor sheet for tracking, please contact us in the office.
Can I edit my team page once I’ve created it?
Yes! You can do a little or a lot. Just log in at http://charity.gofundme.org/cliff-walk, click the icon for your account in the upper right corner of the page, select Campaigns, then click on your team.
From here, you can:
- Create updates that will be sent to your supporters and posted to your fundraising page.
- Invite others to create fundraisers for your team.
- Message individual fundraiser page owners.
- Add any offline donations.
Do You Know About Our ALS Family Tree and Brick Walk?
The A.L.S. Family Tree was planted in 1999 at the Buzzards Bay Recreation Area in Bourne, MA during the 3rd Annual Cliff Walk. This tree is a tribute to all the courageous individuals who have battled or are battling ALS.
Each year we hold a ceremony on the morning of our Cliff Walk during which new bricks are placed into the walk. Although this year's walk is virtual, the brick ceremony will be held and streamed live on Facebook the morning of September 13th.
Bricks to honor your loved one are available for purchase for $50. Order by August 22nd to have your brick engraved and available for placement at the ceremony for the 24th Annual Cliff Walk.

About the Walk
The Cliff Walk is our signature fundraising event, with funds raised supporting families affected by ALS throughout New England. If you have been personally touched by ALS, you know of the emotional, physical, and financial devastation the disease causes, so you understand how much difference the ALS Family Charitable Foundation's unique support programs can make. Among the services we provide families affected by ALS are:
- Aid respite care to allow caregivers to take crucial breaks
- Help pay utility bills
- Assist with holiday and back-to-school expenses
- Sponsor summer camp tuition for children of pALS
- Fund getaways and vacations that help families make memories while they are able
- Underwrite college scholarships
